Handing-Over Ceremony of Cold Chain Equipment for COVID-19 Vaccine procured through UNICEF funded by Japan

On August 4, a handover ceremony was held regarding the cold chain equipment for COVID-19 vaccines, which was provided to the Department of National Health of PNG through the United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF) funded by Japanese emergency grant on FY 2020. In the ceremony, Mr. Maruo, Chargé d'Affaires of Embassy of Japan and Dr. Liko, Secretary of Department National Health PNG cut the tape. The 84 cold boxes for longer period of storage of vaccines and 300 mobile tablets will be distributed to Provincial Health Authorities (PHAs) in PNG to promote COVID-19 vaccination.
