Japan dispatched an expert to Department of Education of PNG, and supported the work of a group of curriculum writers who led the process of developing mathematics and science textbooks. In addition, Japan supported to print and distribute the mathematics and science textbooks of the third and the fourth graders, together with teacher guides, to all of the schools in PNG.
The Press people visited the classes where those textbooks are used at Alotau Primary School, where the school buildings are being built, and also, Hagita Primary School, which is located in the suburbs of Alotau city.
