On 24th February, 2022, Ambassador Watanabe officiated in a ceremony to hand over a double classroom to Caritas Primary School in Port Moresby.
Ambassador stated “Education is not only a vital tool to acquire knowledge and skills but is also an investment for the future development. Through this project, the Government of Japan is pleased to support the PNG’s efforts to improve the education sector. I also hope that those who study in this school building will take an interest in Japan and become supporters for the development of Japan-PNG relations in the future”
