Courtesy call by Ambassador Nakajima to Hon. Prime Minister James Marape

Ambassador Nakajima paid a courtesy call on Hon. Prime Minister James Marape on 11th June.
 
Ambassador Nakajima handed over a congratulatory letter from Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Prime Minister Marape and expressed Japan’s commitment to further strengthening the existing cordial bilateral relations with Papua New Guinea as PNG is a key player in maintaining the stability and prosperity of the region.
 
Prime Minister Marape expressed his sincere thanks for Prime Minister Abe’s congratulatory message as well as for Japan’s assistance for PNG’s nation-building efforts over the past years. Prime Minister Marape echoed the same hope with the Ambassador that PNG would like to strengthen its cooperation with Japan in many fields including trade and investment and will continue to help Japan’s efforts for recovery and repatriation of remains left behind during WWII.
