Signing of four new grassroots grant projects

On Tuesday afternoon, 19th February, 2019, Ambassador Satoshi Nakajima signed four (4) grant contracts of Grassroots Human Security Project (GGP) with representatives of the recipients from Warenge Komba Foundation Inc., Kanjalapos Elementary School, Enga Provincial Health Authority and Turiboiru Primary School respectively at the Embassy of Japan in Port Moresby. Among those present to witness the ceremony, was the Hon. Rimbink Pato, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade & Member for Wapenamanda Open, who expressed his gratitude for the ongoing support of the Government of Japan.
Japan’s above mentioned assistance will go to materialize the construction of a steel bridge at Wapenamanda district, the construction of a double classroom at Kanjalapos Elementary School and the provision of 6 reconditioned ambulances in Enga Province. Turiboiru Primary School in Buin, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville will also receive a double classroom and a teacher’s house, etc.
