The 2026 Eastern New Guinea War-Bereaved Family Pilgrimage was conducted in Morobe Province and East Sepik Province. On 4 September, a memorial service was held at the New Guinea War Memorial located in the Peace Park in Wewak, East Sepik Province, and Ambassador Mochizuki attended.
