The Reception in honor of Hon. Rimbink Pato, OBE, KC, former Minister for Foreign Affairs, upon the Conferral of the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun

On 30 July, the Reception in honor of Hon. Rimbink Pato, OBE, KC, former Minister for Foreign Affairs, upon the Conferral of Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, was held at the Ambassador’s Residence. At the Reception, Ambassador MOCHIZUKI gently welcomed guests with whom Hon. Rimbink Pato has a close connection, including Mr. Paias Wingti, former Prime Minister, Ambassadors and High Commissioners.
Following the opening remarks by Ambassador MOCHIZUKI, some dignitary guests made congratulatory remarks, and then, Naomi MOCHIZUKI, ambassador’s spouse, performed piano. Toward the end of the ceremony, Hon. Pato delivered a speech, and a commemorative photo was presented from Ambassador MOCHIZUKI to Hon. Pato. The guests celebrated Hon. Pato together as well as enjoyed a touch of Japanese culture such as Sake and Japanese cuisine.
