The Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun (Mr. Rimbink Pato)

Mr. Rimbink Pato, former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, will be bestowed with the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun by the Government of Japan in recognition of his contributions to strengthening relations and fostering friendship between Japan and Papua New Guinea. He will be the second Papua New Guinean to be awarded the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun, following Sir. Michael Somare, former Prime Minister.
