On 15 October 2025, Ambassador Mochizuki attended the handover ceremony for The Project for the Reuse of Secondhand Ambulance in Tinkoris Medical Centre in New Ireland Province (approximately 210,000 kina) under its Grassroots Grant Assistance Scheme.
On this occasion the Ambassador Mochizuki stated that, “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the stakeholders for their support and efforts put in for the successful completion of the project. It is significant that today's handover ceremony has become a symbol of the relationship between Japan and PNG.”
Hon. Walter Schnaubelt, Governor of New Ireland Province said, “We are pleased with the completion of this project. I thank the people and Government of Japan for the continuous support to the New Ireland Province, and look forward to Japan’s continuous support.”
