On 6 August, on board reception was held on board the JMSDF transport ship Ōsumi.
The event was attended by HE Grand Chief Sir. Bob Dadae, Governor-General and Hon. Billy Joseph, Minister for Defence, as well as government officials, diplomatic corps, and Japanese residents in Papua New Guinea.
Ambassador Mochizuki delivered his speech to express his heartfelt appreciation for the longstanding friendship and his hopes for further deepening the cooperation and exchange between the two countries in the future.
