Handover Ceremony of Grant Aid for Strengthening Capacity of Border Control for Responding to Infectious Diseases in Pacific Island Countries through IOM

On 19 June 2025, Ambassador Mochizuki attended a handover ceremony of the project which was implemented by the Japanese Government in cooperation with International Organization of Migration (IOM). In the project, two fully kitted ambulances and relevant public health equipment were delivered to seven entry points in Papua New Guinea for strengthening preparedness and responsiveness to infectious diseases across borders, while ensuring that frontline agencies are equipped and trained to handle future incidents.
