Attendance at the Opening Ceremony of the PNG Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) Proof-of-Concept Experiment

On 28 January 2025, Ambassador Mochizuki attended the opening ceremony of the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) Proof of Concept between the Central Bank of PNG and the Japanese company Soramitsu. Other participants included Governor of the BPNG Ms. Genia, Assistant Governor of the BPNG Mr Awab, Counselor of Cabinet Secretariat Mr. Nishigata , CEO of Soramitsu Mr. Takemiya and Representative of JICA Mr. Matsuoka.
