On 21 February, Ambassador MOCHIZUKI signed 3 grant contracts （approximately 950,000 kina（equivalent to approximately 35 million Japanese yen））of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects（GGP）scheme for PNG in FY2024. The contracts were signed with recipient representatives from Yamil Primary School in East Sepik, Kwonggi No.2 Primary School in East Highland and St. Paul’s Lutheran Primary School in Morobe. The above-mentioned assistances will be used for the construction of classrooms that are needed for improvement of educational environment.
Ambassador MOCHIZUKI stated,"I sincerely hope that all these projects will be well maintained after the completion and remembered as a symbol of the friendship between the peoples of Japan and Papua New Guinea in the years to come. It is my hope that beneficiaries of these projects will play an important role in the development of the country and in the furtherance of the cordial relationship between the two countries.“
