Announcement of JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MEXT) TEACHER TRAINING STUDENTS SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2025

The Japanese Government under its scholarship program is offering a Teacher Training Student Scholarship to Papua New Guinean teachers in Primary, Secondary and High Schools wishing to conduct research on school education at designated Universities in Japan.

The requirements are as follows:
- Applicant must be born on or after 2 April 1990.
- Applicant must be a graduate of universities or teacher training schools.
- Applicant must have worked as teachers at primary, high schools, secondary schools or teacher training schools (excluding university) in their home country for a total period of 5 years.
- Applicant must be willing to learn Japanese Language.
- Applicant must after returning from Japan resume his/her work as a teacher utilizing the result of his/her research in Japan.
- Scholarship period is between October 2025 and March 2027.

- Application forms completely filled in together with the required documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Embassy of Japan no later than 6 February 2025.
