Handover Ceremony of The Project for Construction of FORD Community Development Centre in Jiwaka Province

On 31 October 2024, Ambassador Watanabe attended the handover ceremony of the Project for Construction of Building at FORD Community Development Centre and furniture installation with the amount of approximately 200,000 kina.
On this occasion Ambassador stated, “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to stakeholders involved for their support and efforts put in for the successful completion of this project. Japan has extended various development projects in Papua New Guinea for the past 50 years. It is significant that today's handover ceremony has become a symbol of the relationship between Japan and PNG.”
The Jiwaka Provincial Admin, Mr. Stanley Wantakson said, “We are pleased with the completion of this project. There are many aspects for us to learn from Japan’s resilient history of development since the post-war reconstruction. In this occasion, I would like to commend people and Government of Japan for its support to the people of Jiwaka Province and South Wahgi district and look forward to Japan’s continuous support.”
