Handover Ceremony of The Project for Expansion of Deboismenu Primary School in Central Province

On 11th April 2024, Ambassador Watanabe attended the handover ceremony for the Project for expansion of Deboismenu Primary School in Central Province. The Japanese government provided two storey school building with 4 classrooms and 2 teachers preparation rooms worth approximately 291,000 kina.
Ambassador Watanabe stated, “I would like to express my sincere appreciation to stakeholders involved for their supports and efforts put in for the successful completion of this project. Education is not only a vital tool to acquire knowledge and skills. but it is also an investment for the future development. I sincerely hope that this projects will contribute to strengthening the friendship between the people of PNG and Japan, as well as to fostering a partnership between two counties.”
In response, Mr. Henry Maino Central Provincial Education said, “I am pleased with the completion of this project. I would also thank the former head teacher and school stake holders for taking the initiative to seek assistance from the Embassy of Japan. I would like to express my gratitude for the support Japan has provided so far, and would like to request Japan for continuing assistances to the people in the Central Province.”
