Public Offering for 2024 Japanese Government Teacher Training Students Scholarship

The Japanese Government under its scholarship programme is offering a Teacher Training Student Scholarship to Papua New Guinea teachers in primary, secondary and high schools wishing to conduct research on school education at designated universities in Japan.
The requirements are as follows:
1. Applicant must be born on or after 2 April 1989.
2. Applicant must be a graduates of universities or teacher training schools.
3. Applicant must have worked as teachers at primary, secondary, high schools or teacher training schools (excluding university) in their
home country for a total of 5 years.
4. Applicant must be willing to learn Japanese Language.
5. Applicant must after returning from Japan resume his/her work as a teacher utilizing the result of his/her research in Japan.
6. Scholarship period is between October 2024 and March 2026.
7. Relevant documents can be obtained from the following URLs:

8. Application forms completely filled in together with the required documents must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the Embassy of
Japan no later than 9 February 2024.
NB: a medical certificate shall be required only at the time of exam and interview
