Mr Maruo, Counsellor, Deputy Chief of Mission attended a ceremony of Battle of Milne Bay

On 26 August, Mr. Shinichi Maruo, Counsellor, Deputy Chief of Mission attended a ceremony for Battle of Milne Bay 80th Commemoration at Alotau.
The ceremony has been hosted every five years but it is the first time for Japanese delegation to attend the ceremony.
In his speech, Mr. Maruo said the ceremony is significant in the sense that, after 80 years have passed, those involved countries(Australia, US, Japan and PNG) have their representatives at this same place.
