On 26th October 2022, Ambassador Nobuyuki Watanabe paid a courtesy call on Hon. Win Bakri Daki, Defence Minister and exchanged views on bilateral defence cooperation. Both Ambassador and Hon. Daki confirmed that Japan and PNG would continue to maintain and strengthen the relationship.
