On 23 September 2022, Ambassador Watanabe attended the General Annual Meeting of JICA PNG Alumni Association as a guest speaker and the following send-off ceremony of the students who go to Japan. This year, 14 JICA sponsored students shall visit Japan for research of their respective fields.
