Ambassador Watanabe’s Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province visit

On 17-19 September, 2022, Ambassador Nobuyuki Watanabe visited Goroka, Eastern Highlands Province (EHP). He attended the opening ceremony of the Goroka Show, which is one of the biggest cultural shows in Papua New Guinea, and had a discussion about industries, power supply project, education etc., with Hon. Simon Sia, Governor of EHP.
Ambassador Watanabe congratulated the Goroka Show organisers for hosting the show for the first time in three years after Covid-19 pandemic, and said he would continue to strengthen the good relationship with PNG, including EHP.
