On August 19, 2022, Ambassador Watanabe visited a palm oil refinery plant of New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBPOL), PNG's largest palm oil company, located in the suburbs of Kimbe, West New Britain Province. Ambassador Watanabe was briefed on the facility and its operations and had the opportunity to exchange views with Mr. Mohd Azlan Shah, General Manager, West New Britain, NBPOL.
