Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Hon. Peter Yama, Governor of Madang Province

On 23 March 2022, Ambassador Nobuyuki Watanabe paid a courtesy call on Hon. Peter Yama, Governor of Madang Province. They exchanged opinions about the ways to promote relationship between Japan and Madang. Governor Yama expressed his gratitude for Japan's various development cooperation. Then, they discussed Japan’s future Official Development Assistance.
This courtesy call was carried out on the occasion of the visit to Madang by Ambassador Watanabe, who was leading "the press tour" delegation under which journalists from a total of four newspaper and TV station companies joined the several ceremonies and site visits by Ambassador. Using the opportunity, the journalists collected news materials from the discussion between Ambassador and Governor Yama.
