Signing Ceremony for Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) of Fiscal Year 2019

The Ambassador of Japan to Papua New Guinea, His Excellency, Mr. Kuniyuki Nakahara with the six representatives and their witnesses and the staff of the Embassy of Japan GGP Section.
On Tuesday afternoon, 10th March, Ambassador NAKAHARA kuniyuki signed six (6)grant contract of Grassroots Human Security Project(GGP) with representatives of the recipients from Warenge Komba Foundation Inc., Wabag primary school, St Joseph Ruango Primary School, Alotau Primary School, Turiboiru Health Centre, Caritas Elementary School respectively at the Embassy of Japan in Port Moresby. Among those present to witness the ceremony, was the Hon. Rimbink Pato, Member for Wapenamanda Open, who expressed his gratitude for the support of the Government of Japan.
Japan’s above mentioned assistance will go to materialize the construction of a steel bridge at Wapenamanda District, the construction of classroom building at Wabag Primary School in Enga Province, the construction of classroom building and 2 water tank at St Joseph Ruango Primary School in West New Britain, the construction of classroom building at Alotau Primary School in Milne Bay Province, the construction of maternity ward clinic building and 3 water tank at Turiboiru Health Centre in Buin, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, and the construction of Classroom Building at Caritas Elementary School in National Capital District.
